Middle School Ministry

KNOWING THE TRUTH

For the majority of middle school students the primary category needing emphasis is biblical comprehension.  This is the “know” of our first goal - “know, treasure and live for Jesus Christ.”  In order for a middle school student to treasure Christ, he or she must know the truth about Christ as well as the truth about who they are.  Emphasizing comprehension does not mean we neglect making the connection between biblical truth and everyday life.  Biblical truth, when believed, changes lives.  We’re simply recognizing that at this stage in a young person’s development it makes the most sense to emphasize comprehension.

SUNDAY NIGHTS

Two Sundays a month there is a middle school meeting for students and their parents that meets from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the church building.  At this meeting there are games, worship, teaching on Bible doctrine and small groups.   The teaching on Bible doctrine is introductory and purposeful in helping our young people comprehend the Christian faith. This meeting takes place on the same Sundays as the high school D-Groups.
