Staying Married – Matthew 19:1-12

1. Consider God’s design for marriage as presented by Jesus in Matthew 19 compared to
the view of marriage prevailing in secular society. What strikes you as good about God’s
design? Spend some time with this. Think of all the good of God’s design.

2. If you are married, what is your vision for your marriage after 20 years? After
50 years? How does your confidence in God’s design translate into vision for your
marriage’s future?

3. What does the opportunity the church has to be a minister of grace to those who have
had to walk through their marriages ending look like?

4. How do you react to the statement, “We’re all equal at the foot of the cross”?
