Application Questions for Bruce Ware's Message on November 1

  1. How has your view of God expanded as a result of this teaching?
  2. Think back over the past week. Where were you tempted to pride? To self-sufficiency? How does a deep understanding of God as Creator help you fight against these temptations and grow in humility and dependence on him?
  3. As Creator, God owns all that he has made. God has absolute rights over everything we are and everything we have. What is one thing in your life over which you are most reluctant to recognize God's right of ownership? What holds you back from giving this fully to God?
  4. What does it mean that, as believers, we are "twice owned people"? How does knowing of God's particular love for you help you when you are tempted to discouragement?
  5. Is there any situation in your life right now that seems "out of control"? What would it look like to trust in God's sovereignty in this situation?
