Podcasting
Welcome to the CrossWay Podcast. Here, you will find instructions on how to get started with Podcasting.
Note to Podcast Users
If you were using the podcast from the old CrossWay site, it is no longer available. You will need to subscribe to the new podcast feed using the links below.
Podcasts are a series of audio or video files made available for download via an automatic feed. Podcast software (such as iTunes) will periodically check for new content, and when new content is available, will automatically download it to your computer. You can then hear the podcast whenever you want from your computer or a portable media player.
What do I need to hear Podcasts?
To listen to podcasts, it is easiest to use podcast-specific software, such as Apple's iTunes. Once iTunes is installed, you can subscribe to a podcast and begin recieving content. If you want to make your podcasts portable, you will need to transfer them from your computer to a portable media device (such as an iPod).
How to I Subscribe?
To subscribe to the CrossWay Podcast, click one of the links above. If you are subscribing with iTunes, click the iTunes link. If you are subscribing with another software, copy the "other software" link, and paste it into your podcasting software.
You can subscribe to as many podcasts as you want, once you subscribe to it in your podcast software, and the audio will come to you automatically. Although podcast software applications vary, each should provide instructions on how to add podcast feeds to your list. Then, just check your computer, or MP3 player if it is synched for the updated podcasts and MP3s of your selected programs.
