We believe our first priority as a church is to reach our family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and classmates locally with the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is our first priority because this is the immediate context of our church – we live here.
We believe our next responsibility is to help reach Southeastern Wisconsin and Northeastern Illinois with the gospel of Jesus Christ. A major component in our outward mission regionally is our commitment to an aggressive church planting strategy.
We see church planting as one of the most effective means of advancing the gospel in a community beyond our local context. We are committed to planting churches regionally and globally among both unreached and reached people groups.
Pastor training is the key component of our national strategy. As a church we encourage our elders and other members of our congregation to invest in conferences where we can influence other pastors about the importance of the gospel, the local church, and expository preaching.
Reaching people globally means praying, supporting, sending, and going to the end of the earth with the gospel. The work CrossWay does globally is with our mission partners – those people and organizations we work together with to spread a passion for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
CrossWay exists to work alongside other local pastors in other countries to proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel through the local church. Where the church exists, we believe it is wiser to come alongside of indigenous pastors and help them reach their own people with the Gospel.
Where the church does not exist we are committed to sending missionaries to unreached people groups. When raising-up and sending-out missionaries, our priority is to send them to preach the gospel where Christ has not already been named and where the church is not established.
CrossWay exists to raise-up and send missionaries from our own congregation to preach the gospel to unreached peoples. We ask every member to consider going into foreign missions and to raise-up your children with this priority on their lives.
CrossWay is committed to a careful and prayerful consideration of new mission partners. We believe that the best stewardship of CrossWay’s resources is to support missions work that: (1) is aligned with our mission and values as a church; (2) is theologically and ethically sound, and; (3) has a high probability of success.
CrossWay’s mission partners are an invaluable asset in our mission to bring glory to God through the transforming of lives by the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We thank God for all of our mission partners and we are committed to providing long-term support and care to our partners.
